The ice is hard and slippery. Having fun is important, but your safety is a priority.
- Take precautions when stepping on and off the ice
- Well fitting curling shoes are recommended and a double gripper is ideal
- CSA-approved helmets are mandatory for anyone under the age of 12
- Over the age of 12, parents must sign a waiver of assumption of risk, or a CSA-approved helmet is worn until the age of 18
- The Midland Curling Club strongly recommends that anyone in a Learn-to-Curl program (adults or youth) wear protective headgear
